More About Amber
I'm a Mobile native who has been a hair stylist for over 17 years, but I have been “doing hair" most of my life. Growing up styling my friends hair just for fun, I never thought of it as a profession until my older sister asked me to go to cosmetology school with her almost 2 decades ago. I've never looked back! Doing hair is amazingly fun and rewarding. You can be creative and build relationships, but best of all, I love helping my clients feel good about themselves. When I’m not at work, I love playing games with my family and being out in the sunshine.
The Inspiration
After being in the industry for about 10 years, I started making some health changes for me and my family. Then I realized so much that I came in contact with every day in the salon was going against what I was doing at home. So, I began to research clean color and product lines and landed on Simply Organic Beauty. I have been using them for 3 years now and couldn't be happier. Simply Organic is a scalp to end system rich in nutrients, amino acids, and essential oils. O&M color is free from harsh chemicals,offering natural extracts and active minerals. Oway products use organic ingredients with biodynamic farming practices.
Our Future
It’s In The Name
Now that I feel that my career and home life coincide, I have decided to open my own salon. I'm so excited for this new venture in practicing holistic alternatives and pursuing my wellness education. I look forward to sharing not only what are the best products to apply to your hair and scalp, but also the nutrients we need for our hair and scalp to flourish.
Adorn… I have meditated on 1 Peter 3 for quite some time now and feel God working in me to cultivate a gentle and quiet spirit. I’m reminded that my beauty should not come from the outside, but from the heart. I’m so blessed to be able to help people feel good about their appearance, but I want to always remember that God has created us for something more. With lots of prayer over this journey, I think Adorn is perfect for the name of my salon.
